Mission Statement:

The mission of the Benton County Historical Preservation Commission is to identify, preserve, protect, and promote the prehistoric and historic sites, artifacts, records, and other antiquities throughout Benton County The Commission will strive to accomplish these goals by:

  • Cooperating and working harmoniously with all federal, state, and local historical and preservation organizations

  • Identifying and assisting with the establishing of Certified Local Governments to oversee designated historic districts in Benton County

  • Educating the public as to the benefits of historic preservation and promoting continued preservation of all designated properties in Benton County

What We Do:

We specialize in registry information, artifact research, community outreach, organizing efforts for cemetery preservation, and educational awareness.

We also work to support our museums and historic societies.

No matter if your family has lived in our community for many generations or just a few years, we hope that you will join us in preserving a history that continues to emabark on frontiers that are forever changing.
